ST RONAN’S CARE HOME – DUNDEE

Designed and completed by Stuart Dallas whilst a partner at Young & Gault Architects.

The planform of this purpose built 66 bed care home comprises four small group living wings configured in a H-shape. The south facing sloping site permitted the design of an ideal care home layout over three levels. Back of house facilities were placed at the bottom of the site within a lower ground floor. Residents’ private accommodation and the communal shared social areas were then placed at upper ground floor level and first floor level to ensure maximum enjoyment and benefit from the panoramic views south across the Tay estuary.
